Just Shut Up And DO it!

As many of you know I just did a 25 day gym challenge and I’m about to do a 30 day one! That consists of a minimum of 30 mins a day and laying on the mats pretending to stretch doesn’t count.


I don’t always love going to the gym. I face obstacles everyday just like everyone else... time, weather, work events, family, friends, life stuff etc.


So many times I’ve sat in the gym parking lot... thinking of every excuse why I shouldn’t go in. Thats usually when I “phone a friend”. Many friends and family know that if I’m calling them, it’s cause I’m in the gym parking lot. I’m either preparing, procrastinating or about to walk into the gym.


One day I was talking to a friend and after 60 mins of sitting in the parking lot complaining how tired I was, she said “ just shut up and do it, talking and contemplating isn’t going to make it easier, go in and get it done”


This is applicable to so many challenging things In life. We sit around getting in our heads, making excuses, contemplating and hesitating when really if we just start, we have nothing to loose but the satisfaction of knowing we tried, learned and maybe even succeeded. Its also the new year and I’m sure many of you have some resolutions and goals swirling around in your head, my advice to you is before you talk yourself out of it, just do it. Just shut up and do it !
